Cupcake girls card.

This card I made tonight while hubby was watching a movie, and not one that I was interested in. So I thought I'd get crafting.

Mum has asked me to make up a box of cards, for her best friends birthday, and so I need to come up with a few different ideas. This card is one that I've had in my mind for a long long long time, but just haven't gotten around to doing. I saw it a while ago on a web site, but for the life of me can't remember, so I'm sorry if I've CASED it without proper acknowledgement.

Cottage Garden

This card is probably one of my favourites. I just love the colour combination on it. And the "Cottage Garden" Stamp set and papers are my all time favourite. This is one that I've had made up for a while, but just haven't gotten around to showing, so thought I would while I'm in the Blogging phase.

Robot's.

This is another of the cards that I've made while my step daughters have been here. This one is more a little boys birthday card though, I realised that I'd had this stamp set for quite a while and was yet to use it. So I took steps to rectify that. I'm quite impressed with how this one turned out, and I do have another "robot" one to show you in a few days time. But for now this is the one that I'm showing today.

Cupcake card.

Sorry for not having posted for a while. My gorgeous step daughters are here for 2 weeks and I've been busy entertaining them. Now that they're just about to go home I thought I'd start posting a few different cards that I've made.

DSD10 and I have been busy making cards most nights, I can't show her's, as I was extremely silly and forgot to take photo's of her.. OOppppss. Next time.

This however is one that I managed to get made up the first night that they were here. I love the way it came together, and think I might have a go at doing it again but in brighter colours this time round.

An up close pic of the card.. Excuse my watercolouring skills, I'm still to master those.

And the finished product.

Christmas Challenge - I forget what we are up to

January!!!

Well here I am.. I'm about 1/2 way through my calendar template that I'm making, so thought that I would show you each month - month by month over the next few days!!!
Today is January - not really much else to say about it. I had put this one up in the past, but wasn't 100% happy with it, so re did it. This time round I'm much happier..

Christmas Tags!!!

This post is really just an update on the tags that I was making earlier. As you can see I've made a few extra designs, and might even make 1 more up, if I can think of something else to do.

 Snow Man/Penguin Christmas Tags

Joy/Flower Christmas Tags

And the Christmas Tree Tags again.

All 3 are going to be a part of a Christmas Set that I am going to be giving out as presents.

Christmas Present!!!

This is a Christmas present that I am sending O/S so have to get in quick and get it made up and sent before Sea Mail closes on at the end of the month. AArrgghh I guess that means that I'd better get on with the Calendars as 3 of them are being sent O/S. But back to this present, I've made little gift tags, I made 4 each of 4 different designs. I used the Cute and Curly bundle, Punch and Stamps for this one. I LOVE the way the tags turned out, and might even use the same design again here for a few presents, as they're not just Christmas tags.
I've got a Merry Christmas one, a Thankyou tag, a Best Wishes, and a just for you tag. So hopefully they go down well. And then I've just made a nice little box to put them all in.

The box with the 4 tags stuck on top

The Thank you tags

The Best Wishes tags

The Merry Christmas Tags

And finally the Just for you tags.

And just to finish off a pic of the box all wrapped up and ready to go.

Happy Fathers Day!!!

Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful Husband. The lucky duck is having 2 Father's Day's as per usual. Today and then again in 2 weeks time when his daughter's arrive from Brissie. So today we are just doing something very small and non eventful really. We did the whole breaky in bed, and presents, but his MAJOR pressie he won't get until the girls are here.

I made his Father's Day card, and this is how it turned out. Wasn't quite what I wanted, as I wanted to put pictures of the kids on the inside flaps, but I didn't make them quite big enough, so ended up cutting out the first letter of each of the kids names, sponging them in the colours and then sticking them on. I'm still happy with the way they turned out.

Christmas Challenge Week 5.

Looks like I just managed to make it in, in time for this weeks entry.

Up until about 2 hours ago, I had NOTHING to show. What I do have though isn't exactly for Christmas as such. I've decided to make up a card box for my step daughters so that they have their own cards to give out to their friends at School, instead of asking their Mum to buy cards, or even worse spending their own money. lmao. I know that was the worst part when I was younger, and still is now. haha.

So while on Web cam for the first half, and then MSN for the last half, I set about making cards, all while talking to Miss K (13year old step daughter) everytime I finished a card I would show her. The 1st one kinda got a response, but the 2nd one she loved. As you can see it's very bright and colourful (all thanks to my new Big Shot!!!! - I'm in love with that machine) and the 3rd one she hasn't seen yet as she had to head off. So what do you think of them, I'm really happy with the way they turned out....

Card 1 - Crazy for Cupcakes Card with Rich Razelberry cardstock and ink.

Card 2 - Wish Big funky card. Insert for this one is the same as the one above, except in white and tangerine Tango.

Card 3 - Christmas Card using Real Red and Top note Die.

I think the last one is one that I'm also going to use for my Christmas card collection for this year. I quite like it. Well thats about it for now, hopefully I can get some crafting time in over the weekend and might have a few more projects to show off.

Christmas Challenge Week 4.

Ooooopppsss I’m a little slack this week. And I even have a few things to show off as well. I’ve been busy creating my calendars, and finally have something to show for my work.

At the moment I’ve done Jan,March and June, Calendar and Photo sides, and I think they look awesome. I’m waiting on my Big Shot from Stampin Up and a few other things to arrive, and then I can REALLY get stuck into creating.

Anyway enough rambling from me, here are the designs that I’ve done so far.

Christmas Challenge Week 3

WOW!!! Week 3 of this Challenge already. And I actually have some things to show.

I decided last year that I was going to make some tags for all the Christmas Present's this year, as the shop bought ones I find to be very dull and drab, so this week I pulled out my Christmas stamp set and got about making them. This is what I've come up with

I've also been busy designing my Christmas Cards for this year. So far I have come up with 3 different designs, but I can guarantee that this won't be all I do. We have about 80 cards to send out every year, and I don't want them all looking the same. My aim is to come up with about 10 different designs. I'm part of the way through. This is what I've done.

Birthday Card.

Ok so it's not exactly a Christmas Challenge, but it's my Step Daughters Birthday on the 1st of August, and while I'm in the card making phase of my life thought I would make this one up. I just love the colours. Hopefully she'll like it as well...

Christmas Challenge Week 2.

No photos for me to show today. Really only checking in to let you know that YES I am still working, I've managed to get 2 whole calendars Jan-Dec made up, and 3 from Jan-May. I've placed an order with Stampin' Up! for calendar scrapbook, so when that arrives I'll make one up and see how it goes. Hopefully I should be getting that in the next day or two.

Sorry that's about it for this update..

24 weeks Till Christmas Challenge.

Week 1.

I've signed up to a Christmas Challenge over at Skippers Creative Expressions. The idea is to try and get 1 Christmas present/project out of the way each week so that come Christmas Time I'm not completely run off my feet organizing all the Christmas presents for family interstate and here.

I probably won't get 1 per week done as I've got quite big projects to do, but I will deffinately post once a week and keep you updated as to where I am with everything.

Most of the family know that I do calendars for Christmas and try to put pictures of the kids on them every year so that everyone not close to the kids can see them often. This year though will be a little different, instead of ordering them online, I've chosen to hand make each and everyone. BIG TASK I know, but it's something I'm looking forward to. Therefore this weeks entry for me will be calendar templates. I've made these up using Stampin' Up Calendar stamps and alphabet/numbers. 1 set down, 15 more to go

Card Making...

I have become obsessed with Stampin' Up stuff lately, to the point that I signed up just to get the kit at a cheaper rate. It finally arrived today, and I've been busy playing around with everything in there. I'm in love with it all.

The first one is a Father's Day card and the 2nd is just one that I thought I could use down the track for birthdays.

At the moment I'm busy working on Treat Boxes for my 5 year olds Kindy teachers. He finishes Kindy on Wednesday next week, and I want to give each and every teacher that he has there something to say THANKS for all the hard work that they've put into helping him through out the past 12 months. So as soon as they're done I'll post them as well.

aaarrrrgggghhhhh.....

my slackness strikes again...

I can't believe that I haven't posted in here since the end of January, that's almost 5 months..

I haven't done anything else in regards to the Cross Stitch, my niece was born back in April and I never gave it to her because it wasn't finished. Such is life.

My latest obsession has been Card Making.

Just a selection of what I've been working on...

Cross Stitch update

I'm back with another update.

As I was saying to Skip earlier today, it's just hit me that my SIL is due to have her baby at the end of March, which is NEXT MONTH, that's really hit home, so now I have to get a hurry on and finish the two projects that I'm working on for her. But as promised, here is the next update on the Cross Stitch that I'm doing.
