New project...

Thought I'd pop in quickly before the computers get packed up, and show off my newest project. Skip and I went to spotlight on Friday morning, and I came home with some gorgeous pink materials. So thought I'd make a patchwork quilt cover for a little girl's birthday, unfortunately I can't say who it's for as I know that they read my blog!! But I can deffinately put photos of it up as it comes along!! :)

I haven't done too much of it, as at the moment I'm having to do everything by hand, cutting it out with scissors, then hand sewing it, all because my computer is over at my Mum's in storage for the next 48 hours until we move!! :( But when we've moved and settled, I'm going to get right in and finish it off, being that I only have until the end of June to get it done will mean lots of nights working on it...

Bags for my daughters...

After making all of these bags, both my step daughters asked if they could have one. So off to spotlight yet again I went, and found some pretty funky stuff..

I got "Bratz" for Miss P who is 10, and lips/I love you material for Miss K who is almost 13. These are the final products. I also made up a little shopping/sports bag for Miss K, as she plays a lot of soccer, so I thought that the bag would be perfect for all her soccer stuff before and after games/training.

Miss P's bag..

Miss K's bags.
I sent the bags to the girls a few weeks ago, and apparently they LOVE them. So I was absolutely thrilled to hear that.

Library bags...

Master's J&H have been on at me for weeks to get their library bags made. So while I had a few spare minutes I made these up for them... The "Batman" one is for Master J who is almost 4...

The "Thomas" one is for Master H who is 2.

Both boys have been using their library bags for everything. Even for putting their food and drink in when we go for walks around town. Makes it much easier for me. I don't have to carry everything for them!! :)

A new hand bag and shopping bag!!!

Mum decided a few weeks ago that she wanted a new handbag made up. So off we went to Noarlunga Spotlight.. And she found a really nice brown thick material..

So I had a fun time making her a new bag.. This is what I came up with. You can't see it on the bag, but the top flap actually comes off. The back has a strip of velcro, so that depending on Mum's mood, she can interchange the top flap! It's pretty cool!!!

Then to go inside I made this shopping bag. And as you can see it folds up quite neatly to fit inside the bag without taking up too much room. It's based on the same measurements as the Green shopping bags that you get from Coles/Woolies. As here in South Australia all shops are now plastic bag free.

Winter Jumper!!!

My annual tradition is to knit myself a jumper for Winter... I now have 3 beautiful jumpers that I've knitted over the past 3 years, and this year is no different.

I've decided that this year I'm just going to use some cheap wool from Ned's, but I have to admit that it's knitting up beautifully. I'm really impressed with the way it's turning out.

So far I've done the front left panel and about 3/4 of the way up the back. I'm hoping that by the end of tonight, I will have started the decreasing on it ready to do the armholes. Whooo hooo!! I'm not sure how much I'm going to get done now over the next week, as we are moving, but I'll do what I can!!!

Front Panel..

The back so far...

A new blog!!

Well I finally bit the bullet and decided to bring my craft blog over to Blogger.. I wasn't really happy with Wordpress, so here I am back here..

I did think about adding everything here again, but I think I'll just start from scratch with a new blog. I needed to update pretty badly anyway, so will do that from here.

Will bbl to start the process..
